Yes, I said it. I said it; and I know I'll catch a lot of flak from the cell phone companies and various agencies across the country, but I'll say it again:
Damn these new hands-free devices!
You see, it used to be a lot easier to detect the 'crazies' out walking in the neighborhood (and in a neighborhood where detecting the crazies may be a life or death determination, you want it to be as easy as possible).
The 'crazies' used to be easily noticed, as THEY were the people walking down the street who, at any given time, may erupt in sudden verbal outbursts. I'm sure you have witnessed a number of these tirades yourself. They range from whispered diatribes to the butterflies and other sidewalk bugs, to raucously-yelled hate phrases to any person, dog, or goat that's close enough to listen (yes, I did say goat; I'm in Los Angeles, remember?).
While passing by en route to wherever it is they hang out, the crazies seemingly start speaking to the ground, to themselves, or to no one in particular, as if there were someone in particular around to speak to.
Nowadays, with these damn hands-free devices, anyone, not just the crazies, may break into a yell, a whisper, or begin to conversate in these sudden, verbal spewings. That's right, folks, this can happen on any given sidewalk, at any audible level, en route to any given life.
So, it's not just the crazies talking to themselves anymore while walking down the road.
Now, it's everybody.
Or could this just mean everybody's going crazy?

What's New These Days....
What is L.A. to you?
To me, she is great and twisted; showing me horrors that I long after while alluding a life of the walking dead...
I am glad to report, I severed some of the tentacles that had hold of me since I left.
.That took way too long.
