fetching your bones

her bone;
(one of many)
they bone.
the bone before
your face,
the one
at your feet.
lifelong tally
of your feats-
divied and displayed
in feet.
stretch
expand
bend
meld
merge
time beyond time
losing sight of
what I knew as time.
bury our bones
in ruts;
routine~
dig for your out;
bone- out
in- deep.
bones buried
in holes so deep:
closets scattered
from backyard to backyard-
in this neighborhood,
in that ~
best to transport;
best to ensure:
the planting of our seed.
so, go forth and prosper-
there’s new bones to bury.
