A good friend of mine shared an old expression he picked up from his time in the Navy. It served as motivation to most of the crew when they came to port in a foreign land.
You could say the phrase serves as a call to arms for the men to make the most of their time off the boat and it just so happens to remind me of a poem I read the other day... The poem and the expression are both about seizing the moment, missing opportunities, Carpe Diem, and what not.
Oh, the expression used by our Navy?
Here it is: - You Hesistate, You Masturbate -
And here's that poem, with a link to the site at the end....
My heart’s scars;

Hamster Wheel Of Love
My heart’s scars;
worn to the bone.
There’s home,
-Then-
there’s home alone….
In a cage.
Of my own.
The phone-
porno hardcore
w/cinnamon sprinkles on top
running on and on…
in the shoes you gave her.
Lighting up her walk
for others to see.
We’ve lied;
both of us; we’ve LIED!
(NO! We lie) to ourselves
~ Conquered fear of letting go? ~
not yet; wait, just NOT NOW…..
she’s on our side again.
so let’s wait
to reminisce
the remorse
for not leaving
while we had the chance.
