That's right kids, several exciting things to tell you about in this episode: alterEgo Events takes over Friday nights, My First Movie, Blogging Affiliates and Content Coalition, plus, an exciting weekend to look forward to and plan your memories for; so why not Kick It with Kung Fu Kev for a bit?
Friday nights
OK, first things first, as alluded to in the last episode, Vanguard Hollywood is in the midst of a changing of the guard. And the new guard is alterEgo Events, at least on Fridays, that is. Yes, indeed; as first reported on the altered one's newsletter: starting June 11th, alterEgo Events takes over Vanguard Hollywood each and every Friday. So stay tuned to see what these two powerhouses can concoct for your Friday night enjoyment.
My First Movie
Now, I'm in the midst of filming for a little production I'm involved in and.... who knows, this could be my big break!
You could see me on billboards and magazine covers!
OK, ok; I am only an extra in a film that I know nothing about, not even the title.
I assume I'm going to be a bad guy, as they wanted 'fighter types' and I've got to dress in black on black on black.
So, let's not get ahead of ourselves, I'm only getting a copy of the movie, meals, and screen credit for my work; but hey, it is some working experience in Hollywood for the credentials.

As many of you know, I have some co-writers and friends who help me with content, editing, and other general items associated with the PR/Media Outbursts you read. We are now forming an affiliation of writers, bloggers, and reporters to better utilize everyone's skills and abilities. You will hear more about this in the coming weeks, but rest assured, this union aims to improve the readability of any site involved, including the one you are reading now. exciting weekend to look forward to and plan your memories for
Well, what can we say about this weekend? First, it's got one of my favorite DJ's hitting the ones and twos at Ecco Lounge (Hollywood). Yeah, that would be TIMO Friggin' MAAS! Tickets are so scarce, I have to make sure I've got one reserved. Hey Rich, you can get me on the guest list, right? Me, plus, like 300 of my closest friends? Huh? Rich, can you hear me?..... Is this thing working?....
Second, it's a holiday weekend, so be prepared for anything. Amateurs come out on holiday weekends and can throw a monkey wrench in the system for the regulars like you and me. So, get your tickets early, plan you party favors now, and when the weekend arrives, leave with plenty of time to get wherever you are headed. There will be extra traffic and extra cops; so carry on, but watch ya back!
Oh, and if you want to be ahead of the game, think back to the last big holiday weekend event you went to: big group of friends, big preparations, and big times, right? Did you have any big headaches or big distractions from your fun that night? If so, be proactive now and eliminate that drama from your weekend. For example, if there was an annoying, whiny person that almost ruined the last holiday for you with their presence (every group has one), then call them today and explain that you have already made plans and there is no room for them in those plans. This might seem harsh to some of you; that's fine with me. Call me names. Say I'm mean. Send in hate emails. But, don't ruin my good time. If you feel bad, you may invite them to the club; but you are asking for it.... Just make sure they know, you are not responsible for them and they ain't gettin' a ride with you....
Just food for thought, from someone who's been there a time or two....
