The Week That Was 

Last week was a 'hurry, hurry, hurry; just to wait, wait, wait' week for me, personally. This prevailing theme set the tone for me to miss one of the most anticipated events of the year, Timo Maas at Ecco Lounge in Hollywood. Of course, he was on the slate for last Saturday night. Due to circumstances beyond my control, I missed this one; and I have already strained my hamstring from repeatedly kicking myself. So, as far as The Week That Was, I've got nothin' for you...... not even an update as to how good the show was.

That's right; I know many of you have heard the whispers, and now they have grown to shouts of jubilation; alterEgo Events is starting a monthly party at Tao Beach (Venetian Hotel) in Las Vegas on May 16th. As the alterEgo Events newsletter reported: (Link)

The Week That Was ~ The Week Ahead (Nightlife)

THE WEEK THAT WAS (April 19-25) Kickin' it with Kung Fu Kev

 This week was slow for me, as I save energy, money, and ideas for the upcoming week, my birthday week. Also, I was helping a friend remodel her condo, and that took much of my gusto for going out. You can see pics of that by clicking  kung fu carpentry. I attended King King on Friday for Behrouz and DJ Kam and I got to see just how funky the famed DJ can get (I missed DJ Kam as I was fashionable late). Behrouz broke it down, mixing in some far reaching new songs with some of the popular current tracks via a well-conceived, intelligent mix that put me in an all-night dance marathon.

MUSIC: Droog's First downtown Standard rooftop party: Martin Buttrich

Here's Droog's first entry into the Standard pool party season; and it looks like it might make a splash..... None other than Martin Buttrich. The famed producer from Germany, especially known for his work with Loco Dice. Personally, he's one of my favorites when I'm listening at home. But, I hope he redeems himself for his latest show (Avalon 3/6) in L.A.; in which I feel he did not give his best effort.

With all the hi jinx happening, Sunday looks to be a dynamic day: 

Just don't forget to save energy for the alterEgo special event at Ecco Sunday night. No worries; if you plan on attending the Standard event, there's just enough time to S.S.& S. (oh, and get some food!) after the Droog party and still get to Ecco for the night's big event!

Wind or shine, the show will go on with abandon. The time to kick off the shoes and dance the blues is nigh. Armed with two lethal weapons - Martin Buttrich and Konrad Black- our label is set to jump start its second full season of rooftop debauchery and a second year of releasing music. Hitch to our unruly wagon and let's have some serious fun.

The party begins at a usual 1pm time BUT will end earlier -7 pm. Please make your plans accordingly - our special guest will start right after 4pm. We are extending our $10 discount entry until 4pm.

Now, that didn't FOOL you; did it? You weren't seriously entertaining the notion of staying home, were you? If so, shame on you; you MUST have forgotten that this is an alterEgo Events party; because: they know how to make the party go just right.

Seriously? Home? OK, that's fine; stay home - that's more to go around for the rest of us; but you'll be sorry when you hear about what you missed.... We will be rockin' all night with Hollywood's sexiest crowd at the hottest place to go on Thursdays! I Want My House Music @ My House!!!

Well, I just wanted to interject a bit..... The weather has started to comply nicely with all requests for a season change. Now, it's time to hit the gym, get a quick tan, and do whatever else you have to in order to look good in your bathing suit; 'cause this Sunday is another pool party atop the Standard downtown hotel! Although this still isn't the official start of the season, that date IS fast approaching (that's pool party season, NOT football season, for those of you needing clarification).

Just announced: Behrouz will be at King King on April 23rd!
